What are the steps to generate a user an access code?
- Access P421 Manage Millennium - User Account from your home page's Top Applications>CareConnection - Application. Sign in with your Millenium log-in.
- Click Generate Access Code in the upper right corner.
- Follow the steps:
- Specify use: how many devices will require the apps, personal devices versus shared device (i.e., Advocate-owned device to be shared across multiple users) Note: Generate an access code for each device individually.
- Select user: search for user by name or Millenium log-in
- Confirm user: enter the user's email address
- Provide the access code to the user when they log into the apps for the first time. Note: Set the user up with the access code on the device while you are face-to-face. The email message requires the user to access the same application. Many users have reported trouble retrieving the access code.
What network should the end-user access?
ahcpub. Set up end-users for immediate access to eliminate the need for the physician to click the “accept” button when joining the ahcpub network with the WiFi network. The advocate network is reserved for Advocate-owned devices.
What if a user complains of being locked in PC Touch? They may receive an "error 5" message.
- Click here.
- Enter your CareConnection user name and password.
- Click on the appropriate user who is locked.
- Press the "Unlock" button.
- Enter an unlock reason.
- Notify that the user that they should be unlocked after a few minutes.
Can the Help Desk remote access into PC Touch?
No. This is the reason why on-site resources are the first line of support.
Can PC Touch be tested in a non-production domain?
No. PC Touch runs from "the cloud" and is managed by the Cerner team in Kansas City.
How do I project from an Apple device to a projector or computer?
You need a Lightning to VGA adapter.
Are utilization data for these apps available in Lights On?
Not yet. Physician adoption reports will be uploaded to SharePoint on a regular basis. Click here for the top five users of orders and notes each week.
How can I tell if an order was placed through the app?
- From the desktop version of CareConnection, right-click on an order and select order information.
- At the bottom of the screen, you will see an order ID.
- All orders signed from the app have an order ID that end with an even number.
How do I build user-specific auto-texts for a physician?
